KLSS Nature Series

We’d rather not.

The blog is back! We were so sorry to leave you and we promise, we missed you, but as land surveyors, we just can’t be confined to the office. Our crew is usually out cooking in the hot Texas sun, but they shouldn’t get to have all the fun. That’s one of the reasons we decided to step away from the computer and head out, camera-ready, into the woods of Houston and the surrounding areas. If you’ve been keeping up with our Facebook page, you’re probably mildly familiar with the fruits of our labor, but we’re back at the keyboard to give you a better explanation of what’s going on.

It’s no secret that we love the outdoors. However, we realize that not everybody shares in this love. We realize that (no matter how pretty) the outdoors can be hot, sweaty, dirty, and insect-y. If you read that description, and thought, “That’s exactly what I was thinking!” then you’re who we had in mind when we decided to start up the KLSS Nature Series. The purpose of this series is to bring all the exciting bits of nature to the comfort of your cool, air-conditioned home. Each week, we set out with the old photo-snapper and trek the trails for whatever we can find. Then, we come back to the office, filter out the good stuff, and make it available to you! At KLSS, we see nature as more than just trees and leaves. It was here before us, it’s all around us, and it’s something we need to protect, preserve, and appreciate.
